United States Freestyle Kayak Team to hold trials in Montana

The best kayaking athletes are expected to take part at the trials this summer in Missoula, Montana. These athletes will be trying out for a sport on the US Freestyle Kayak Team.

About two hundred kayaking enthusiast are projected to compete in the trials which begins on June 30 and ends on July 2, 2010 at the Brennan’s Wave in the Clark Fork River.

In the freestyle kayaking competitions, participants have a minute or sixty seconds to conduct as many different technical moves as possible. The trials will determine which players will advance to the World Freestyle Kayaking Championships that will take place in Platting, Germany in 2011. These developments have been announced by USA Freestyle Kayaking.

Brennan’s Wave is a popular whitewater pool in the Clark Fort River. This was named after Brennan Guth, a world class kayaking athlete who died in a river accident in 2001 in Chile. He was 32 when he died.
