The six nation tournament is also quite famous and the countries which take part in this competition are England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, France and Italy. This tournament is highly popular and also considered as a very prestigious one.

The six nation’s rugby tournament is the showpiece rugby event of Europe and is a keenly contested affair. The current champion of this tournament is the Welsh national team. The format of this tournament is quite simple with every team playing each other once and a very simple and easy to understand point system is used. 2 points are awarded for every win and one point is awarded for a draw. The venue and the host country keep on changing every year and every win in this tournament is termed as a grand slam. England is the country with the most number of wins in the six nations and Wales ranks a close second. Italy is the only country which has not won this tournament.
