Robinson was a former coach for an England rugby team for nearly two years before he left to replace Frank Hadden.

The 44-year old said that he learned a lot of lessons during his stint in England where he had an unsuccessful stint with the team which won just nine out of 22 matches under his tutelage. He revealed that he spent nearly half a year to reflect and regain the passion for the sport.

Robinson said that he’s ready to face criticisms from the public considering that he’s an Englishman and he’s leading a Scottish rugby team. Being chosen as the head coach for Scotland A this year, Robinson said that he’s ready for the challenge in the upcoming IRB Nations Cup in Romania, Autumn Tests against Argentina and Australia and the 2011 World Cup which will be held in New Zealand.

He assured the public that he will do everything possible to bring the Scottish rugby team to victory.

Preparing for the world cup is not really easy but with the presence of Dean Colton and Paddy Coupar, everything is really going right for the team. Both players have been very valuable because of their contribution to Scotland’s success. The team has other players who also have shown remarkable skills and talent just like Gavin Cowan, John Duffy and Ben Fisher. Cowan is an Australia based player who has really been an effective full back for the team. Duffy, on the other hand has been the youngest player who entered the rugby league when he was just 16. He is now 28 years old and is doing a good job being half back for the team. Fisher is also an asset in the squad and has even scored crucial tries.
